If you decide to give this diet a try, I would suggest you do some pre-diet reading to make sure you are physically prepared for this eating adventure. Your body will start to change, you might feel nauseous or have increased headaches, or feel weaker because as your body starts to detoxify it’s trying to accomodate for the things that you’re no longer getting in your diet. So, if you eat a lot of fried food, sauces, dairy or junk foods and sugary sweets you will definitely go into a physical withdrawal for these items. Your bodily functions will change as well, so be prepared and it might be necessary for you to refrain from strenuous activity and exercise. Be sure to listen to your body and make adjustments as needed. Keep hydrated.
I’ve been pretty lucky because I’ve been eating pretty healthy prior to participating in this diet with the others. Most of the people doing the raw diet in the group are not vegetarians, so their body purge has been substantially more severe then my own.
So here is today’s picture post of our lunch on day 3 … A fabulous beetroot carpaccio salad with a raw carrot cake with cashew and coconut “chantilly”frosting … No added sugars or sweetners. Fabulous!
